Motorola Programming Software CPS 2.0 is being introduced to replace the old MOTOTRBO CPS 1 application which is being retired. The old CPS1 supports up to MOTOTRBO system release R2.9 (including minor releases) while the new CPS2 supports MOTOTRBO system releases R2.4 onward (including minor releases).

CPS 2.0 simplifies Radio and Repeater configuration management, while ensuring users can accomplish their tasks with ease. CPS 2.0 focuses on better basics including a lighter hardware specification, USB wired support, one radio at a time and ability to validate new code-plug updates.

Motorola programming software CPS 2.0 also supports a more consistent experience with Radio Management across multiple applications (this includes similarities in the tree view structure and improved navigation).
