Hytera Communications, has recently expanded its DMR mobile two-way radio portfolio by releasing two new models, HM685 and HM655. As part of Hytera’s new generation DMR radio H Series, HM685/655 are designed to provide reliable voice and data connectivity for workers on the road, no matter whether they are drivers delivering packages, technicians maintaining electrical lines, or security patrols across a campus.
The modular and compact design makes HM6 mobiles easy to install, remove and operate in the vehicle. HM685 is equipped with keys and a transflective display, which is readable both in direct sunlight and under poor illumination. HM655 doesn’t have a display or keys on the main unit; instead, it works with a hand-held control head (HHCH), enabling users to easily turn on and off the radio, switch channels and contacts, adjust volumes, and view messages.
The HM6 series mobiles deliver superb audio in noisy environments. The AI-based noise cancellation filters out echoes and background noises such as horn and engine sounds. Their built-in BT 5.0 module not only makes it easy to pair with BT audio accessories, further increasing its versatility, but also facilitates wireless programming. Considering the radio unit may be installed deep in the vehicle compartment, the BT feature is a great effort-saver when the radio needs reconfiguration.

Handheld control head
Hytera HM655 is controlled entirely via the remote speaker microphone, which has integrated control buttons (two of which are programmable) and an LCD display. This is especially appropriate for vehicle users and can help them to boost their productivity and safety at the same time. The remote speaker microphone can be used to perform functions including switching the unit on/off, switching channels, selecting contacts, adjusting the volume and reading messages.
Hytera HM655 has high RX sensitivity which allows it to deliver clear and reliable communications even in areas where signal is weak or unstable.
Hytera HM655 can be used either in digital or analogue mode – ideal for users either new to or in the process of migrating from analogue to digital two-way radio communications technology.
Hytera HM655 owns a compact and stylish form factor, which makes it lightweight and easy to install and operate as well as being aesthetically pleasing.
Complete versatility
HM655 supports data functionality beyond voice calls including text messaging, clarity transmission, emergency alarm, kill/stun/revive, GPS location and more.
Crystal-clear audio
HM655 features AI-based noise cancellation technology, which helps to deliver crystal-clear audio by filtering out echos anad background noises including engine noise, horns, sirens and more. It also uses howling suppression technology which stabilises the audio between communicating radios for improved voice clarity.
Hytera HM655 “BT” versions are equipped with Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity to help users who are looking for ways to work more productively. Bluetooth-compatible radios can also be programmed over-the-air, removing the requirement for untidy cabling.
